Islam Nagar is 11 kms away Bhopal on Bhopal-Berasia Road. It has synthesis of Hindu and Islamic decorative art developed by Afghan ruler "Dost Mohammed Khan". The state Museum have reproductions of some of the now destroyed Buddhist Bagh caves painting, 84 rare Jain sculptures of the 8th and 13th Centuries, Avalokatswara of Lamaism, Saivite sculptures and miniature paintings showing the graceful lifestyles of those days. This is the best place of art lovers.
